Designed by Joe Alessi, Trombone virtuoso and New York Philharmonic principal, this excellent line of brass mutes are the best money can buy.. The entire range of Jo Ral mutes are THE best aluminium mutes available. They are the most in tune mute, with a complex tone, and are free blowing in all registers. The Jo Ral Cup mute or Tri-tone mute features two uniquely cut peices of felt on the inside of the cup. These can be removed to create different cup mute sounds, from very quiet and mellow tones, right through to a loud cutting muted sound. This mute is ace.
